Read Joint Statement

Valor and the Partnership are pleased to announce that Governor Newsom has included $100M in one-time funding to backfill looming federal cuts to victim services programs.  Our joint advocacy over the past few years has been critical to arriving at this moment, and we’ve never been prouder to work as a team on behalf of survivors and the field of sexual assault and domestic violence service providers.  We want to thank everyone who made calls, had meetings, or sent emails or tweets – this victory belongs to all of us!

But the work isn’t done.  We have to continue calling on the Governor and the legislature to invest in prevention, and to address the long-term stability of victim services funding beyond next year.  Please see our statement below, and be on the lookout for more from us about how you can get involved.
