Description

This web conference will provide an overview of trauma-informed practices for working with youth in virtual and digital spaces while providing prevention programming. Participants will learn about the parameters and details of mandatory reporting requirements in California. The web conference will showcase best practices for supporting youth in online environments during times of pandemic and uprising. Strategies for setting up expectations and building trust within virtual and technology-enabled settings with young people will be shared and discussed.

  • Discuss the legal landscape around confidentiality, privilege and mandatory reporting of child abuse and neglect in digital spaces.
  • Describe the California requirements of mandatory reporting of child abuse and neglect.
  • Identify key strategies in building trauma-informed online prevention programs.
