Whether your program is called My Life, Our Strength, Her Strength, or Girl Power, we have a message for you!
Even though there is no official My Strength club equivalent for young women, many of our agencies are already doing amazing work to educate young women about the critical role they play in preventing sexual violence. This summer, in lieu of CALCASA’s annual MyStrength Training, the YWCA would like to invite all Female Strength Club facilitators to joinCalifornia’s My Strength facilitators in a daylong summit to meet, greet, collaborate, and share in all the wonderful violence prevention work that is happening with young women in California. Some of the things that we will discuss at the summit are working with CALCASA to plan a Female Strength Conference/Training and creating a Female Club Facilitator Listserve to share information and ideas. If you would like to participate in this endeavor, but are unable to attend the summit, please contact Della Duncan of the YWCA Silicon Valley at dduncan@ywca-sv.org.
Summit Details:
Location: YWCA Silicon Valley 375 S. 3rd St. San Jose, CA 95112
Date and Time: Tuesday July 17, 2012 from 10am- 4pm
Please RSVP by e-mailing Della Duncan at dduncan@ywca-sv.org
We have a few topics and activities planned for the summit and we welcome additional suggestions.
