I am a 28-year-old native of Yap, Federated States of Micronesia. I travelled to Guam in January 2011 to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems at the University of Guam, and have called Guam my Home for the last 8 years. I now hold a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. I have had over 5 years of experience in the social work field, from being a student peer mentor to being a case manager to being a Quality Assurance Manager.I bring to Sanctuary my experience in Computer Information Systems, Human Services, and Public Administration. Not only have I successfully assisted youth and families in reunification and rebuilding a stronger bonds, I have also helped Sanctuary in updating and launching its Website and creating its very first cloud-based data management system. Additionally, I have also assisted Sanctuary in acquiring grants and additional funds to benefit the organization and its clientele. Although work can be hectic, I still find the time to volunteer at significant events such as Homelessness Point-in-Time Count Surveys, Awareness Campaigns on issues such as Suicide, Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence, Slavery and Human Trafficking, etc.
