1in10women-v2Today, the CDC NISVS released a new study on Intimate Partner Violence in the United States – 2010, expanding upon data from the original NISVS summary report released in 2012. This report reminds us of the strong linkages of intimate partner violence and sexual violence. Specifically, the report found that nearly 1 in 10 women in the United States (9.4%) has been raped by an intimate partner in her lifetime.
In March 2014, PreventConnect will host a web conference sharing the results of this report and exploring the implications for prevention. Go to www.PreventConnect.org for more information and registration.
