VALOR 2026. Rooted and Reimagined.

Welcome to 2026 with VALOR

The movement to end sexual violence includes two overarching goals: supporting survivors who experienced sexual harassment and assault and preventing such violence. With these goals guiding the work, advocates have also recognized that preventing and ending sexual violence is connected to addressing many problems present in our relationships, communities, and broader society.

Together, VALOR and sexual assault prevention advocates have reached across movements, solidified relationships, and created a community focused on ending all forms of violence, injustices, and oppression. As we enter 2026 and look to the future, we honor the dedication and work of past advocates while continuing to adapt, overcome, and evolve based on survivor and community needs.

In 2026, VALOR remains rooted. Rooted in the movement to prevent sexual assault, the work to ensure survivors are supported with the highest quality care, and the communities and relationships we’ve cultivated. Rooted in creating communities where sexual assault does not occur in the first place.

In 2026, VALOR has reimagined the ideas of what supportive services look like so all survivors can heal the way they choose and find the type of justice they want. We’ve reimagined the impact that prevention can have at every level of our individual, communal, and social relationships. And we’ve reimagined survivors as the leaders of our movement, especially those in Black, Latinx, Native and Indigenous, and Immigrant communities who face the highest rates of sexual violence.

Join VALOR’s Rooted and Reimagined 2026 as we continue the work to prevent and end sexual violence by advancing equity and eradicating oppression to create a world free from violence where the dignity of every person is valued and respected.
