Renee Wells is a passionate, people-centered leader with comprehensive professional experience in coordinating personnel, resources, and general logistics. Renee began her non-profit career via many leadership positions with the American Red Cross’ National Capital Chapter and the National Headquarters. During her 8-year tenure at the American Red Cross, Renee was consistently promoted each year to new leadership positions in Case Management, Armed Forces Emergency Services, Community Education and Field Implementation. Renee has also held other non-profit leadership positions including Office/Tenant Relations Manager at Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless, Office/Volunteer Manager at Hope Connections for Cancer Support and her current role as Operations Director at Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence.
Renee thrives in environments where she can utilize her knowledge, skills, abilities and education to contribute to an organization’s success by strengthening compliance, improving processes, enhancing productivity, quality assurance and client satisfaction. Anticipating and meeting the needs of constituents is rooted in Renee’s fascination with observing and understanding people and her reputation as a motivated, independent self-starter has resulted in many successes.
Renee earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Sociology with a concentration in Criminal Justice from Bowie State University. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Renee is proud to have achieved many personal goals. Renee has many years’ experience in radio/podcast hosting. She has also earned a certification in mixology from Professional Bartending School and is a sought-after private bartender/mixologist. Renee also enjoys traveling, nature, live music, comedy shows, the beach, and spending quality time with loved ones.
