Vaccination

Currently, authorized vaccines in the United States are highly effective at protecting vaccinated people against symptomatic and severe COVID-19, according to the California Department of Public Health. VALOR has adopted a policy of mandatory full vaccination for all attendees for its 2022 Statewide Conference in order to safeguard the health of our employees, attendees, and the greater community at large.

VALOR will use this California Department of Public Health definition of being considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19: two weeks or more after they have received the second dose in a 2- dose series (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna), two weeks or more after they have received a single- dose vaccine (Johnson and Johnson [J&J]/Janssen), or two weeks after receipt of another vaccine authorized by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Attendees for whom the vaccine is medically contraindicated for them or medical necessity requires a delay in vaccination, must agree to wear a mask at all conference functions and present a negative COVID test on day one of attendance.

Masking

All guests and employees of VALOR must adhere to Orange County, CA masking guidelines, which, currently, strongly recommend wearing a mask, especially on public transportation and in transit hubs, in accordance with and as required by the California Department of Health. If that guideline changes, VALOR will update attendees.

In addition to Orange County and Department of Health recommendations, VALOR strongly recommends masking at all indoor venues.

Attendees voluntarily assume all risks related to COVID-19 while attending this conference.
