CALCASA is excited to announce, and introduce, the new addition to CALCASA’s Leadership. Yesterday, Christina Vasquez from SafeQuest Solano, was elected onto CALCASA’s Council as the new Women of Color (WOC) North Caucus Representative.
Christina is the Volunteer Outreach and Training Coordinator at SafeQuest Solano, a Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Center in Fairfield, CA. She has been with SafeQuest since 1995 and has held various roles at the agency. She has instructed Self Defense classes and has provided direct advocacy to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, both as a volunteer and as a paid staff member. In reference to applying for the WOC North Caucus Representative position, Christina shares:
I am committed and dedicated to the work of CALCASA, the work that you do to provide [member] agencies the tools and resources to continue the work to end sexual violence, advocating justice, providing leadership and technical support.
CALCASA is excited to welcome Christina to CALCASA’s Council and Leadership. We look forward to working with her and know that she is a valuable asset to the movement. Please join us in Welcoming Christina to CALCASA as the newly elected WOC North Caucus Representative!
