Community Violence Solutions (CVS) in Richmond, CA will holding their 3rd Annual International Women’s Day Celebration on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 10am to 3pm at Lovonya DeJean School. The theme for this year’s event is: Women in Solidarity” Healing our Beloved Community ~ Mujeres en Solidaridad: Sanando Nuestra Querida Communidad and will feature Lakota Harden, Native American Artist. There will also be performances and speakers from local artists, dancers, poets and musicians. This is a free event and will include childcare and lunch.
