Saunie Schuster of NCHERM co-facilitated the NCHERM Institute on Responding to Sexual Misconduct on Campus at Stanford UniversityStanford, CA – Saunie Schuster and W. Scott Lewis, partners at the National Education for Higher Education Risk Management (NCHERM), led the National Institute on Responding to Sexual Misconduct, a two day training at Stanford University on how to develop responsive sexual misconduct policies and training hearing boards.  Participants that currently serve on their judicial affairs/disciplinary boards attended the Institute to enhance their capacity building around sexual misconduct cases.  The first day focused on understanding the federal laws that provide the legal framework for college campuses to address sexual misconduct policy.  On the second day, participants from across California, Oregon and Washington discussed challenges surrounding training hearing boards and engaged in case scenarios to hone their skills as hearing officers.
