THE LINE is available for members to checkout from CALCASA's library.

CALCASA has just added to its library the DVD THE LINE. This film asks the question: Where is the line defining consent? Told through a “sex-positive” lens, it is a 24-minute documentary about a young woman who is raped, but her story isn’t cut and dry. She’s not a “perfect victim” and decides to confront her attacker, recording the conversation with a hidden camera. The documentary includes discussions about justice, accountability and “rape culture” from sex workers, survivors and activists.
The filmmaker, Nancy Schwartzman, screened this film at the 2010 National Sexual Assault Conference.
If you work for a California rape crisis center that is a member of CALCASA, and are interested in checking out this film from our library, please email info@calcasa.org.
