So what do hot dogs for breakfast have to do with the prevention of domestic violence? At the June 2010 meeting of DELTA and DELTA PREP grantees, Deborah Zelli of the Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence, Susan Ramspacher of the Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and Jenny Dills of the Missouri Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence, demonstrated exercises tthat teach about primary prevention. All of the presentation belowe were recorded in Atlanta, GA on June 4, 2010.
In the first presentation, Deborah Zelli, the Prevention Projects Team Leader at the Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence demonstrated the exercise “Hot Dogs for Breakfast” to teach about changing norms, primary prevention and the social ecological model.

In this presentation, Jenny Dills, the Prevention Coordinator at the Missouri Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence, demonstrates the “Before and After” exercise to demonstrate the different types of prevention.

In the last presentation, Susan Ramspacher, Prevention Project Coordinator at the Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence, demonstrates the exercise “Spectrum of Prevention Campaigns” to illustrate the difference of intended outcomes of prevention efforts.
