Maya Angelou once said, “Surviving is important. Thriving is elegant.” This quote was the basis for an event to benefit survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. It was an evening dedicated to raising awareness and educating the community on the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault.
On Oct. 28, the celebration was hosted at the Mina Gallery in San Francisco to honor women who have inspired, moved and empowered others. There was a packed room of attendees who were present to learn about ending violence and to support survivors. As a part of the silent auction, there was a variety of art on display and wellness packages.
It was an evening of art, cocktails and music to honor phenomenal women — and the men who love them. Proceeds benefited San Francisco Women Against Rape and Women Inc.
