Thank you to all of the California RPE Grantees for joining us for the Primary Prevention Integration Plan: Building Capacity Organizational Capacity Webconference. I am so thrilled to help facilitate a dialogue at sites across the state about how primary prevention can be better integrated across all levels of an agency.
As I said in the webinar, we in the prevention world are often drinking from the fire hydrant of prevention – we are trying to do too much at once, doing presentations to so many people, covering emerging themes, and addressing correlating public health topics. In order to advance our work, we need to step back and reflect on how our agency as a whole values primary prevention. When the agency as a whole values primary prevention, the work becomes a shared vision and objective.
This webconference served as a spring board for the primary prevention integration planning process that RPE grantees will be participating in. Through this webconference we had a chance to walk through the first phase of the integration planning process: the internal capacity assessment.
