CALCASA staff participated in the Move to End Violence workshop, Forward Stance, led by Norma Wong over a 3-day period in San Francisco. The vision of Move to End Violence consists of a future in which girls and women are free from violence, act as agents of change and lead the way to a better world. Key practice areas of MEV, include Transformational Leadership Development, Organizational Development, Liberation from Oppression, Movement Building for Social Change, and Social Change. The workshop focused on engaging participants in the mind-body approach that emphasizes proactive and strategic actions to build successful and sustainable movements. This unique workshop provided a wonderful opportunity to partake in transformative exercises both mental and physical and promote positive communication and teamwork within organizations.
