Today marks the beginning of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, a time where organizations and individuals come together to raise awareness for sexual assault prevention and education. Every April, CALCASA, together with our member agencies, highlights our work to support survivors and end sexual violence.
This year, CALCASA has framed our SAAM resources and materials around “Taking Action to End Sexual Violence”. We have prepared a comprehensive toolkit to assist and promote our members and their SAAM programming and provide background information on topics of local, state, and national importance. These topics include: the national rape kit backlog; military sexual assault; sexual assault on college campuses; prevention; and the intersection of sexual assault and domestic violence.
Please click here to download the 2014 SAAM Toolkit! Check back regularly as we feature guest bloggers for the month of April and content that relates to the topics listed above.
Join CALCASA online: Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter and use #takeactionca to share what you or your organization are doing to celebrate SAAM!

I raise my voice – not so that I can shout, but so those without a voice can be heard.”
