This report is intended to provide specific recommendations and examples of effective policies in order for campuses to be in compliance with the Clery Act, Title IX, and recent changes to the California Ed. Code (via SB 967 and AB 1433). With a survivor-centered lens, we hope that campuses will begin to reach out to formalize meaningful partnerships with California rape crisis centers, as they develop trauma-informed response protocols and prevention programs to better serve student survivors and their campus communities.

This report covers topics including: confidentiality, options for survivors, campus disciplinary proceedings, coordinated response and review of campus policies, and how to develop resources for education, prevention, and intervention.

CALCASA is committed to being a voice for RCCs and the value they bring to campuses that are charged with addressing sexual assault, domestic/dating violence, and stalking.
