An editorial in today’s New York Times states clearly the need to start well before people are college age to prevent sexual abuse. The editorial concludes with

School districts, state governments and families alike need to recognize that sexual assault education and prevention need to start early, and that failing to address the problem will make it worse, not make it go away.

It is the the time to advance more primary prevention efforts to prevent sexual and domestic violence.  Today’s focus on college campuses has provided focus on the issue; now is the time to think prevention across all ages.
