Survivors behind bars are often marginalized within the movement to end sexual violence. In this workshop, we will explore how to disrupt oppressive norms within our agencies and correctional facilities with the goal of creating access to services and healing for incarcerated survivors. Yesenia Quevedo (Partners Against Violence) and Connie Cueva (Women’s Center Youth and Family Services) will discuss the strategies they utilize to integrate an anti-oppression framework to advance and expand programs dedicated to preventing and intervening in sexual violence behinds bars.
