Alexandria Taylor

Alexandria Taylor, LMSW is a mother, daughter, auntie, sister, and friend. She is the Executive Director of the New Mexico Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs. She has worked in the movement to end gender-based violence for over 20 years, when she started her senior year of college as an overnight shelter advocate.

Alexandria graduated from the University of Delaware where she double majored in Sociology and Criminal Justice after completing 4 years as a scholarship volleyball player. She completed her Masters of Social Work from the Columbia University in New York.

Alexandria serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the ACLU-NM, Board Member for the National Alliance to End Sexual Violence, a Commissioner on the State of New Mexico’s Commission on the Status of Women, the former Chair of the Governor’s Council on Racial Justice, and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

She builds in this work with a deep sense of community and addressing sexual violence at the root of the intersections of our lives.
