Danah Vasquez (she/her) was introduced to sexual assault prevention advocacy early in life, as her mother worked for a sexual assault crisis center in Long Beach, CA. She received her BA and MA from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) in History, where she continued to lecture after graduation. Danah’s research focused on identity and decolonization to share the stories the historical consequences of power dynamics globally. She is committed to continuing to tell the stories of survivors and fighting for systemic change in our communities, state, and nation-wide as VALOR’s Communications Coordinator.

When she is not at the office, Danah enjoys finding interesting foods to try, traveling to warm and sunny places, and spending quality time with a good book and her husband.
