Description

This PLC is hosted on the 3rd Friday of the month 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Once you’ve registered, you can attend any session!

This peer learning community is a space for people implementing prevention programs on K-12 campuses. Whether connecting in-person or virtually, schools can be a challenge. Together, we learn how to engage, build champions on campus, and celebrate those fabulous flops that teach us so much. You’re welcome to bring your champions on campus to learn together what makes for a safer school community! The cohort will explore quarterly themes including 1) Building Inclusive and Connected School Communities, 2) School Policy Change and Student Rights, 3) Prevention Education and Facilitation Skills, and 4) Data and Evaluation.

In July through September, we will explore Prevention Curriculum and Facilitation Skills, including finding, creating, and/or adapting curriculum, facilitation skills, engaging young people, and student-led activities. In addition to our quarterly theme, we have open discussion time during each session to address the current questions, challenges, and successes of cohort members.
