Increasing Prevention and the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence

From November 25 to December 10, the annual international campaign of 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence calls for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls. Beginning on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and ending on Human Rights Day, this year’s theme, “UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls,” advocates for preventing digital violence while supporting those who have experienced it. 

Sexual violence is tied to digital abuse, and both are preventable. Head to UN Women to learn more about digital abuse and join VALOR in the work to prevent and end gender-based violence by checking out the 16 items below on increasing sexual assault prevention and social change in your communities:

  1. Become a VALOR member to join us as we support survivor services for immigrants, LGBTQ+, and all members in our communities.
