When and where is the Statewide Conference?

Statewide is being held at  Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego, CA on August 28-29, 2024.

Registration Dates

Registration will open May 28, 2024.

Early registration will be from May 28, 2024 until July 10, 2024.

Regular registration will begin July 11, 2024 until we reach capacity.

Once registration is full, a waitlist will be opened.

VALOR Members: $150

General Registration: $250

Regular Registration

VALOR Members: $200

Registration Payment

You may pay for your registration by card or Venmo. If needed, we will provide an option to pay by check or cash. Please contact valorconference@valor.us for more information.

Lodging & Parking Fees
  • VALOR has set aside a room block at Paradise Point Resort & Spa.
  • To book your room, you must first register for Statewide and then you will receive a link in your confirmation email.
  • Special Conference Room Rate: $125/night + taxes/fees.
  • Parking fees are $44 per night/$54 per night for oversized vehicles or any vehicle with a trailer.
  • The last day to reserve your room at our special conference room rate is August 5, 2024.
  • Please submit any ADA requests for your hotel room through the Statewide registration form.

Scholarships

Applications for the 2024 VALOR Statewide Conference are now closed.

Accommodations
  • Spanish and ASL interpretation will be available upon request. Please make your request in your registration form.
  • If you are requesting language translation or accessibility accommodations, you must register before July 26th, 2024, otherwise we cannot guarantee that we will be able to facilitate your request.
COVID-19 Protocol
  • For the safety of all Statewide 2024 participants, VALOR encourages everyone to take a COVID-19 test prior to traveling to San Diego.
  • Please do not attend if you have COVID symptoms or test positive, even if you are asymptomatic.
  • VALOR encourages participants to wear a fitted N95 mask, although this is not required. Masks will be available on-site for event participants.
  • San Diego, CA masking guidelines currently strongly recommend wearing a mask if you are at a higher risk of getting very sick from respiratory viruses in a crowded indoor public setting that may have poor ventilation. If that guideline changes, VALOR will update attendees.
Cancellation/Transfer Policy
  • Full refunds for your registration fee are available through July 26, 2024. After that, 50% refunds are available until August 16, 2024.
  • VALOR will not offer refunds for registration after August 16, 2024.
  • Registration for the VALOR Statewide Conference is fully transferable to another person from your agency until Friday, July 26, 2024.
